Profile

Considering the importance and role of estuaries, it is very vital to carry out various research on estuaries. Estuarine Processes can furnish micro nutrients for aquatic life and it can self purify the toxic metals that are carried by rivers into the coastal areas. Such research began in 1977 in Germany and its devleopment needs more researches. In short, if the mechanisms of estuarine flocculation is well known and developed, it can be extended to treatment of industrial wastewater too. In the recent years, I have tried to come up with new researches including electro-flocculation. Electro flocculation can enhance the natural estuarine flocculation.

Wetlands are among other sensitive areas. Wetlands can treat various pollutants that are delivered by rivers. Thus, much cleaner water enters into the coastal areas. There are various type of plants in wetlands that are responsible for pollution reduction. In some countries man-made wetlands are being used for treatment of residential wastewaters. The geochemistry of sediments from wetlands can furnish many useful infomation about the oxic and anoxic conditi
